Our Construction Equipment Group is seeking a full-time Parts Lead for our Waukegan, IL location. The expected hourly compensation for this role is between $28-32/hr based on overall candidate experience.
Parts Lead should have a basic mechanical understanding and the ability to identify by sight, and by name, the parts of an industry related piece of equipment. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:
Achieve established KPI’s in parts availability, inventory turns, inventory aging and obsolescence.
Other parts-related activities and duties as required/ direct by Direct of Product Support.
Create annual budgets, sales objectives, and expense control.
Maintain daily back order report, ensuring this is sent to Parts Inventory Manager and Director of Product Support.
Participates in each manufactures surplus parts return program.
Participate with suppliers in developing marketing initiatives to increase incremental parts sales.
Have quarterly meetings to discuss progress of Parts Departments with Director of Product Support.
Maintain monthly, quarterly inventory cycle counts to maintain correct levels are being maintained.
Involvement in Parts Disputes and working with all parties to settle not to hit the disputed Accounts Receivables.
Attend and perform monthly meetings with Product Support personnel basis to review performance KPIs and provide direction for Parts personnel
Schedule ongoing Technical training according to individual development plans established within the Corporate Training Management.
Provide ongoing coaching and development to retain valuable Parts Counter Personal, to groom them for the next level Parts employment opportunities according to Corporate Service and Training Management direction
Interact directly with customers Alta Personal on any parts complaints in order to resolve appropriately and retain customers.
Complete Audits and assure all repairs have an approved quote signed by the customer
Ensure Customer Retention.
Maintain relationships with all shipping companies to ensure shipping cost are cost effective.
High school diploma or general education (GED). College degree preferred.
Computer skills preferred- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
High skill level in effectively following up on important details.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, somewhat unstructured environment.
